Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to vendingbusiness101.com, the Vending Business 101 Smart Cooler Operator Program, its courses, worksheets, operator apps, free tools and the Smart Cooler Tycoon game (together, the “Services”). The Services are run by Louisiana Vending LLC of Broussard, Louisiana (“Vending Business 101,” “we,” “us” or “our”).
By using the Services or buying a plan or add-on, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who Can Use the Services
By using the Services, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
- Will follow all laws that apply to you while using the Services and running your business.
2. Membership Plans
2.1 The two plans
We offer two plans:
- Monthly: $49 per month, renewing automatically every month until you cancel.
- Annual: $349 per year, renewing automatically every year until you cancel.
The price of each plan is the price shown at checkout when you buy. Access periods are counted from the date of purchase, as described in our Refund Policy.
2.2 Automatic renewal
Both plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (every month for Monthly, every year for Annual) and charge the payment method used at checkout, at the plan price shown at checkout, until you cancel. We email a reminder 7 days before each renewal.
You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in My Account → My Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
If a renewal charge goes through that you did not want, email support@vendingbusiness101.com within 7 days of that charge for a full refund of that renewal. Refunding a renewal ends the membership and stops future charges. See our Refund Policy.
2.3 What membership includes
An active membership includes:
- All courses. Members are enrolled in every course automatically. Course lessons are for members only.
- The operator apps described in Section 4, subject to the usage limits in Section 4.2.
- Worksheets, templates and other member materials we make available.
We may add, update, change or retire courses, lessons, apps and features over time.
2.4 Free first year with a Smart Cooler
Any Smart Cooler bought from Smart Cooler Supply qualifies for a free first year of membership. The free year itself does not renew automatically and is never charged.
2.5 Earlier purchases and lifetime access
Memberships are time-limited. We do not offer lifetime access. Purchases made under earlier terms keep the access granted at that time.
3. Payments, Add-Ons and Refunds
3.1 Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our server. By completing a purchase, you agree to pay the price shown at checkout, plus any taxes that apply.
3.2 Location Scout extra search pack
Members can buy an optional one-time add-on, “Location Scout: 25 Extra Searches,” at the price shown at checkout. For this add-on:
- Pack searches are used only after the searches included with your membership for the current week or month are used up.
- Unused pack searches expire 90 days after purchase or when your membership ends, whichever comes first.
- If the order is refunded or cancelled, any unused pack searches are removed.
3.3 Refunds
Our Refund Policy explains refunds. In short, membership access and other digital products are delivered instantly and are non-refundable, except that an automatic renewal charge can be refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of that charge (see Section 2.2). If you have trouble accessing anything you paid for, contact us at support@vendingbusiness101.com and we will work to fix it.
4. Operator Apps
4.1 How the apps work
The operator apps are hosted by a third-party provider, Base44. The apps help you plan and run your business. They are tools, not advisors:
- Planning estimates only. App results, scores, calculations and projections are planning estimates. They are not financial, legal or tax advice, and they are not a promise of results.
- AI can make mistakes. Some apps use artificial intelligence to create text and images. AI-generated content may contain errors. Check it before you rely on it or share it.
- Location Scout uses Google Maps Platform data, which may be incomplete or out of date. Confirm details with the business before you act on them. Contact details found through contact research come from businesses’ public websites.
- Contract Generator produces templates, not legal advice. Have any agreement reviewed by a qualified attorney before you use or sign it.
- Wrap Studio images are previews. Confirm all artwork against your printer’s specifications before you order a wrap.
4.2 Usage limits
The apps have usage limits, such as the number of searches, contact lookups and design credits available in a given week or month. Limits are shown in the apps and may change. You may not try to get around them.
4.3 Contacting businesses
You are responsible for how you contact any business you find through the apps. You must follow all calling, texting and email laws that apply, such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the National Do Not Call Registry rules and the CAN-SPAM Act, and any state laws.
4.4 Google Maps
By using features powered by Google Maps Platform, you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
4.5 Availability
We work to keep the apps running, but we do not promise that they will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. The apps depend on third-party services that may change or go down.
5. Free Tools and Smart Cooler Tycoon
Our free tools (marked “Try for free”) and the Smart Cooler Tycoon game are free to use. We may change, limit or remove them at any time. The Smart Cooler Tycoon monthly contest is governed by its own Contest Rules.
6. Equipment and Smart Cooler Supply
Vending Business 101 does not sell equipment. Smart Coolers and other equipment are sold by Smart Cooler Supply, and those purchases are governed by Smart Cooler Supply’s own terms and policies.
Disclosure: Smart Cooler Supply is part of Louisiana Vending LLC, the same company that runs Vending Business 101. We earn money when you buy a machine through Smart Cooler Supply.
7. No Income Guarantees
Our courses, apps and tools are for education and planning. We do not guarantee that you will earn any money, recover your investment or build a profitable business. Your results depend on your own effort, capital, locations, market and decisions. Please read our Earnings Disclaimer.
8. Your Account
- Give accurate information when you create your account, and keep your login secure.
- Each membership is for one person. Do not share your login with anyone else.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, including for:
- Abuse of the Services or of other people.
- Scraping, copying or bulk-downloading content or data from the Services, by hand or with automated tools.
- Reselling app output.
- Sharing logins.
- Trying to bypass usage limits or other access controls.
- Fraud, or attempts to hack, disrupt or interfere with the Services.
We may also restrict access where we need to in order to comply with the law.
9. Intellectual Property
The courses, videos, lessons, worksheets, templates, apps, software, text, graphics, logos and other content in the Services belong to Louisiana Vending LLC or its licensors and are protected by law.
What you may do: use the courses for your own learning, and use the worksheets, templates and app outputs in your own business.
What you may not do without our written permission:
- Copy, share, resell or publish our courses, lessons or member materials.
- Resell app output, or offer the apps or their output as a service to others.
- Copy, modify or build competing products from our content or apps.
Breaking these rules may lead to account closure and legal action.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, including information you enter in the apps, how we use it and which service providers help us run the Services.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to or rely on third-party websites, tools and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or policies. Your use of them is at your own risk and may be subject to their terms.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- Our courses, apps and materials are for educational and planning purposes only and do not guarantee financial success.
- The Services are provided “as is.” We make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy or reliability of any information, estimate or output.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any direct, indirect or incidental damages resulting from your use of the Services.
- Your use of the Services is at your own risk.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, USA. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration before either side pursues legal action.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If you keep using the Services after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
