Vendera or HAHA? Both brands make AI smart coolers that work the same basic way. A customer taps a card or phone, the door unlocks, they take what they want, and cameras plus AI work out what to charge. The real differences are in the model sizes, temperature ranges, shelving, door security, fees and how you buy. This guide puts the current models side by side so you can pick the one that fits your location, not the one with the best brochure.
Disclosure: Vending Business 101 and Smart Cooler Supply are both owned by Louisiana Vending LLC. Smart Cooler Supply sells both Vendera and HAHA coolers, and we earn money if you buy either brand there. We sell both, so we have no reason to push one over the other. Pick the one that fits the location.

The short answer
- Choose HAHA when you need a specific size, the lowest entry price, an LCD ad display, or you want to order online today. HAHA has more sizes, from the Mini 360 up to the double-door Ultra 1200.
- Choose Vendera when security and merchandising matter most. Vendera coolers have adjustable shelf locks, roller shelving and full-length anti-theft door reinforcement. The Core and Arctic also publish a wider settable temperature range.
- Either brand covers the basics: single-door, double-door and freezer options, cashless payment, a $40 monthly software fee and an operator app.
Both brands track what is taken with cameras and AI. There are no weight sensors in either brand’s coolers.
Vendera models and specs
Vendera currently sells three models we recommend: the single-door Core LC-510, the double-door Atlas LC-1160 and the Arctic LD-315 freezer. All three run on standard 110V power and use the same Vendera VMS app. Every Vendera cooler has two downward-facing cameras at the top, roller shelving, adjustable shelf locks and full-length anti-theft door reinforcement.
The fourth model, the Apex LC-605 (with a 24.7-inch display), is listed by Vendera as pre-order, project only. It is being discontinued, so we do not recommend it for new operators.

HAHA models and specs
HAHA’s current smart cooler lineup on hahavending.com is the Mini 360, Plus 440, Pro 542, Max 620 (and the Max+ 620S), Freezer 550 and Ultra 1200. Two notes on how we list them:
- The Max+ 620S is the Max 620 with an LCD ad display. Same cabinet, same capacity.
- The Pro 542 with Nayax is a Pro 542 with a Nayax card reader. It is a payment configuration, not a separate model.
Every HAHA cooler has downward-facing cameras, an aluminum alloy door frame and 24-inch anti-theft door reinforcement. HAHA shelves do not have permanent adjustable shelf locks.

Sources: HAHA product pages on hahavending.com, checked October 23, 2026. *The Plus 440 page on hahavending.com currently repeats the Mini 360’s figures, so the starred Plus 440 numbers are Smart Cooler Supply’s listing. Freezer 550 temperature: it is dual-mode. The operator chooses how to run it: 32–50°F as a refrigerator, or −7.6°F to 14°F as a freezer. Bottle counts also differ between HAHA’s own pages, so compare cubic feet and plan your own layout. On the check date, hahavending.com showed the Max 620 as out of stock and the 620S as available. Prices are from Smart Cooler Supply and can change.
Smart Cooler Supply also lists an Ultra 1200 Dual Temp and HAHA’s newer O Line (O-Pro 500, O-Max 700, O-Elite 900). hahavending.com did not have product pages for those models on our check date, so they are not in the table. See Smart Cooler Supply for their current specs.

Why shelf locks and door reinforcement matter
Both brands charge the customer for what leaves the cooler. Shrink still happens when someone forces a door or pulls product in a way the cameras miss. Full-length door reinforcement and shelf locks make that harder. In an open public space with little supervision, that difference matters more than a few cubic feet of capacity. In a staffed office break room, it matters less.
Why the temperature range matters
Every HAHA cooler model and the Vendera Atlas are built for cold product (32–50°F). The Vendera Core publishes a range up to 71.6°F. That gives you more room to set the cabinet for what you actually sell. For frozen product you need a freezer model from either brand.
Fees, buying and shipping
Both brands charge $40 a month per cooler for software and connectivity. Processing is where they differ. These are the same figures used in our AI smart cooler cost guide:
| Fee | Vendera | HAHA |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly software and connectivity | $40 | $40 |
| Percentage of each sale | 5.85% | 5.95% |
| Per transaction, credit card | None | $0.05 |
| Per transaction, debit card | $0.22 | $0.05 |
Which costs less to run? It depends on how many of your customers pay by debit card. Take 100 sales at $6.00 each ($600). HAHA costs $35.70 (5.95%) plus $5.00 (100 × $0.05), or $40.70. Vendera costs $35.10 (5.85%) plus $0.22 for each debit sale. The two match at about 25 debit sales out of 100. So Vendera costs less to run when fewer than about 1 in 4 sales are on debit cards. Above that, HAHA does. This is an example to show how the fees work, not a sales forecast. See the earnings disclaimer.
How to buy
- HAHA: you can buy online through the Smart Cooler Supply cart. Online orders are one machine per order.
- Vendera: you can also buy online with a Buy now button, one machine per order. The Core is available now; the Atlas and Arctic open for online orders when new inventory arrives in December.
- Two or more machines of either brand: ask for a multi-machine quote.
- Financing: Smart Cooler Supply offers financing through Affirm on both brands. Approval and terms are set by Affirm.
Shipping
Smart Cooler Supply ships for a flat $350 per single-door cooler and $400 per double-door cooler (the Vendera Atlas and HAHA Ultra 1200), to the continental US only. Alaska and Hawaii are quote-only. Getting the cooler off the truck and into place is a separate job. Check the weight in the tables above and plan for a dolly and helpers.
Every cooler bought through Smart Cooler Supply also includes one free year of the Vending Business 101 Annual membership. The free year does not renew or charge.
Which fits which location
Start with the location, then pick the cooler. Here is how we would match them:
| Your location | Good fits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Small office or break room, tight space | HAHA Mini 360, HAHA Plus 440, Vendera Core | Smallest footprints and lowest buy-in. The Mini 360 is the narrowest cooler at 22.8 in. |
| Busy office, gym or apartment lobby | HAHA Pro 542, HAHA Max 620, Vendera Core | More room between restocks without going to a double door. |
| Open public area, light supervision | Vendera Core or Atlas | Full-length door reinforcement and adjustable shelf locks. |
| Large campus, hospital, warehouse, multiple shifts | HAHA Ultra 1200, Vendera Atlas LC-1160 | Double-door capacity for high volume. Check the wall space first: 53.9 in and 49.2 in wide. |
| Ice cream and frozen meals | Vendera Arctic LD-315, HAHA Freezer 550 | The Arctic is narrower (23.62 in). The Freezer 550 is deeper (35.8 in). |
| Location wants an ad screen | HAHA Max+ 620S | The 620 cabinet with an LCD ad display. The Vendera Apex is project only and not recommended. |
| You already run Nayax | HAHA Pro 542 with Nayax | Keeps your payments on the platform you know. |
| You need to order online today | Any HAHA model or the Vendera Core | The Vendera Atlas and Arctic open for online orders when December inventory arrives. |
Two quick checks before you choose. First, measure the doorways, hallway and final spot, and add a margin. Second, confirm an outlet where the cooler will sit and a reliable cellular or network signal.
When to walk away from both
If the location only works on paper with your most hopeful sales guess, neither brand will fix it. Run the numbers in the free ROI Calculator with cautious inputs first. If it does not pay with cautious numbers, find a better location before you choose a cooler.

Is Vendera or HAHA better?
Neither is better everywhere. HAHA has more sizes, a lower entry price and online ordering. Vendera has adjustable shelf locks, roller shelving and full-length door reinforcement. Pick the cooler that fits the location’s space, traffic, product and security needs.
How do Vendera and HAHA coolers know what a customer took?
Both brands use cameras and AI to see what a customer takes, then charge the card when the door closes. There are no weight sensors in either brand’s coolers.
Which brand has a freezer?
Both. Vendera has the Arctic LD-315, rated down to −13°F. HAHA has the Freezer 550, listed as the Frozen 550 at Smart Cooler Supply. Confirm the Freezer 550’s temperature range before you buy, since HAHA’s product page and Smart Cooler Supply list different figures.
Are the monthly fees different?
Both charge $40 a month. HAHA adds 5.95% plus $0.05 per transaction. Vendera adds 5.85%, with no per-transaction fee on credit cards and $0.22 per debit card transaction.
Can I buy a Vendera cooler online?
Yes. Smart Cooler Supply sells Vendera coolers online with a Buy now button, one machine per order, the same as HAHA. The Core is available now; the Atlas and Arctic open for online orders when new inventory arrives in December.
